Marienturm, Frankfurt
Reference description
Realization of refrigeration
Central cooling systems were installed to provide the cooling capacity required for ventilation in the air conditioning systems and to cool the Marienturm, i.e. to cover the external and internal cooling loads in the various office, meeting, conference and IT rooms, as well as catering and special-use areas as well as a separate cooling network for the tenant Goldman & Sachs by means of a fan coil and a separate cold water set.
General
Mainly water-cooled water chillers with a combination of a district heating-heated absorption chiller (AKM for short) and electrically operated compression chillers (KKM for short) are used as cooling generators. The absorption chiller is implemented as a base load unit and as a charging unit for the cold water buffer storage.
Installed refrigeration systems
Cold balance
heat generation
Hydraulic and control-technical implementation of an optimal regulation for the best possible supply of the consumers so-called high temperature consumers (HT consumers) and low temperature consumers (LT consumers)
